Diablo III Now the Most Pre-Ordered Game in Amazon’s History

Diablo III has managed to build up so much anticipation amongst video-game players that it has become the most pre-ordered PC game in Amazon’s history. However, Amazon did not reveal the actual numbers ordered. After a gap of nearly a decade, this desperation for playing Diablo III is understandable. The Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows did just that for books in 2007 and its success was from the anticipation of knowing that there will never be any more books added to the series.

Though Blizzard, Diablo’s makers don’t intend to end the video-game series just now, but it has really been a long gap since the second one, Diablo II. However, many Diablo-fans already have the game downloaded into their PCs, but they cannot play it until May 15. The same day, Amazon will launch the sale of the actual game in different retail stores. Though video-game players are known to especially admire anything by Blizzard, mostly such mystifying games of ancient blood wars, involving the concepts of good and evil, but Diablo III has made history for Blizzard too.

How the story inside the game unfolds is also something of interest, besides adding to the collection of the series. People want to have the game, which is why the PC video-games retail industry cannot die, the same reasons why film DVDs are still sold despite rampant online piracy. StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm saw similar enthusiasm in 2010.
