Sony Made the World’s First 4k Home Theatre Projector
Recently, Sony became the first company to release the 4K cinema projector. The 4K is there because the resolution it can project is four times more than the existing 1080p displays. Previously, Panasonic came out with its ultrahigh resolution through its plasma TV in 2010. But this time, Sony has gone a step beyond it and got this technology into our homes with a home thearter projector.
Mostly of the videos available are not as yet that high definition especially not even 1080p. Sony has used a new SXRD 4K panel technology along with Sony’s Iris3 technology. Hence, this gives improved images which are much clearer and last longer. The projector comes with two HDMI ports, component input, mini D-sub port, and an Ethernet port. This home cinematic luxury does come with a hefty price of approximately US$26,000.
Those who are into private collection of movies and want to run their own show so to speak can pay the price for their choice and wishes. Even the movie-makers, especially the directors would be better off buying this. Imagine this at James Cameron’s house and him watching Avatar. It features Sony’s “Reality Creation” upscaler that takes SD or HD and 2D or 3D and gives it a better resolution. So it is a dream comes true of sorts.
