It is always interesting to read about what is the world’s most expensive stuff. Recently, the world’s most expensive billboard was unveiled in Dubai. It does not have neon lights as in the old days, but is an interactive billboard with a jetpack. The billboard is of an American energy drink company and has been declared to be the priciest yet. The billboard has been unveiled by Skydive Dubai and Go Fast!, which is a global energy drink company.

To advertise further more about their unique billboard they hired a jetpack pilot to circle around it. However, some people are skeptic about it being the most expensive. They say that cost of operating a jetpack is only US$500 per second. The pilot flew for about half a minute, which makes it about $12,500. This does not make it the most expensive billboard. It is just part of the publicity. But in retaliation to these skeptics, doing this for the entire month will bring the cost to $1.3 billion and hence make it the most expensive billboard ever.

One wonders where else this much money could have been spent then on making the claims of the most expensive energy drink advertisement on a billboard. There will always be room for such stupidity as long as people don’t find a better way to bring attention to what they do and pay attention to where the attention needs to be paid, that on world’s many afflicting issues.
