Diamonds are the hardest substance known to man. Not only are they just beautiful, but they also serve other purposes other than being adorn as jewelry. They are used in machines to cut other hard rocks and gems. But recently, scientists have discovered their use in a new way that can never be imagined. Recent studies have found that nano-diamonds are twice more effective in cleaning clothes under low temperatures than regular detergents on the market.

Detergents have strong agents that often do make clothes lighter and their fabric fades away because of this. But mixing your detergent with diamonds will make them clearer according to researchers at the University of Warwick and Aston University in England. Nano-diamonds are very tiny, they measure around ten-thousandths the diameter of a human hair, which is really too small. Imagine such strength in such a small piece of substance!

These small diamonds have ability to loosen crystallised fat from surfaces. Hence, they do more than regular washing detergents by going to the core of the fabric and break oil and dirt. But is such a discovery practical, knowing the fact that diamonds are not only expensive, but also hard to get. No one wants the tax bills so high knowing that you use diamonds to wash your laundry. However, it is a fact now known that diamonds can do the cutting work better than any substance man can compose of chemicals.
