Pakistani security forces have arrested chief of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), Malik Ishaq, allegedly involved in killing of Shia Muslims, in eastern Lahore city of Pakistan.

Officials told that Malik Ishaq was returning back from Suadi Arabia after performing Umrah when he was arrested at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Thursday.

On Friday, Malik Ishaq has been sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand.

Malik Ishaq was presented before the court of judicial magistrate in Model Town area of Lahore amid tight security.

The public lawyer told that Malik Ishaq violated the travel ban and held provocative speeches at different places. The case has been registered against him in Nishtar colony police station.

After hearing the arguments of lawyer, the court issued directives to send Malik Ishaq on 2-week judicial remand to jail.

Police have registered cases of delivering provocative speeches against Ishaq.  Besides, Malik Ishaq is allegedly involved in violence against Shia community.
